Older seminars
EU and Turkey
19 June - 23 June 2006, Brussels and Ankara (Enlargement series 2006)

The debate on the conditions and timing of Turkey’s accession continues to mark discussion in the European Union. Journalists in the EU will need training to be able to provide citizens with timely, accurate and reliable information about the European Union and the process of negotiations with Turkey. Mass media remains the most important source of information for European citizens, including on the EU. In order to ensure that citizens in the European Union can actively participate in the processes of a broader Europe, The European Journalism Centre and DG Enlargement of the European Commission are organising a series of seminars focusing on Turkey. The final selection of participants is made by the relevant Directorate
General of the European Commission.
