Europe is a top destination for tourists from all over the world. The tourism sector is important for Europe’s economy and it involves a big diversity of services and professions.

The European Tourism Forum, a high level event organised by the European Commission and the French Presidency in Bordeaux on 18-19 September presents an opportunity for journalists interested in tourism to report first-hand.

The European Journalism Centre (EJC), at the initiative of DG Enterprise and Industry, is therefore organising a two-day briefing for journalists from all EU member states during the event.

The programme will include background briefings with key experts. Reporters will have full access to the conference programme and meet the winners of the Eden Awards (European Destinations of Excellence).
