Under the banner "European citizenship is not just words, but also concrete rights", the European Commission has just launched a new campaign to inform EU citizens about their rights as defined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

The campaign started in September 23 with a roadshow in Romania and will now be held in Germany. The German roadshow will consist in a series of stands in different towns where the European Commission will provide information and organize animations to the public.

In parallel with the launch event, the European Journalism Centre (EJC), in co-operation with DG Justice, Freedom and Security of the European Commission, will organize a one-day briefing for journalists from the regional and local press taking place on the 10th October in the European Commission Representation, in Berlin.
