A two day briefing for journalists has been organised within the Europe INNOVA Conference 2008 in Lyon, an event organised in co-operation with the French Presidency of the European Union.

The conference will focus on accelerating innovation in Europe: Optimising knowledge transfer, strengthening industry's innovation capacity through strategic partnerships and supporting innovative entrepreneurs. The event will gather key innovation stakeholders representing politics, academia and business. They will discuss how to accelerate and support innovation as well as which innovation policy priorities are needed for Europe.

Journalists will be taking part in the innovation tours, meet Commission experts for a technical briefing and have access to the conference programme to exchange views with key-actors present at the event.
