The European Journalism Centre is organising, in co-operation with DG Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission, a four-day information briefing especially tailored to journalists from the Euro zone as well as from the opt-out EU Member States.

The briefing will take place in Brussels as well as Frankfurt and will focus on the Euro Area economy and the 10 years of the Euro. It will analyse the response of the EU to face the financial crisis and the role of the Euro in the stability of the European markets.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet European institutions experts and attend the press conference of the president of the ECB, Mr. Jean-Claude Trichet, following the Governing Council meeting of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. They will also meet members of the Brussels-based press corps and independent experts during the briefing.

The arrival of the participants in Brussels will be on November 3 and depart from Frankfurt on November 7. The seminar is financed by the European Commission.
