In three months time, Europeans will elect a new common Parliament. Do women care?

The EU is about to appoint new faces for its top jobs. But where are the women?

In 50 years there has never been a female President of Commission and only two female Presidents of the Parliament. Is there such a thing as a “male cartel” in Europe's politics?

On behalf of the European Commission, the European Journalism Centre (EJC) organises a two-day seminar aiming at responding to such pressing questions, ahead of June’s European Elections.

This event, scheduled for 30-31 March in Brussels, will provide selected participants the opportunity to discover more in-depth the current state of play of the European policies affecting women by the means of open and free discussions with key EU officials and politicians, civil society representatives and independent experts.

Applications by editors of women publications and editors of gender issues news sections are welcomed.
