The European Journalism Centre is organising, in co-operation with DG Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission, a special four-day seminar especially tailored to journalists specializing in economic and financial issues from the Euro zone countries as well as from the opt-out EU member states.

The briefing (conducted in English) will take place in Brussels as well as Frankfurt from the 3rd till the 6th of November 2009. It will focus on the Euro Area economy and will analyse the EU’s response to the financial crisis.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet European institutions experts in Brussels and attend the press conference of the president of the ECB, Mr. Jean-Claude Trichet, following the Governing Council meeting of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. They will also meet members of the Brussels-based press corps and independent experts during the briefing.
