EU Environment Policy – Anticipating the Hungarian EU Presidency
14 December - 15 December 2010, Brussels (Pre-Presidency briefings on EU environment policy)
Tailored for reporters covering environment in Hungarian media, this seminar will focus on the environmental priorities of the upcoming Hungarian EU presidency.
At the end of the International Year of Biodiversity and following two key conferences - the October Nagoya conference on biodiversity and the December Cancun summit on climate change - the seminar will tackle on lessons learnt and decisions taken aiming to protect the environment.
The two day programme will give participating journalists an opportunity to discuss the EU strategies in fighting climate change, protecting habitats and species as well as using resources efficiently with key officials.
The event is organised by the European Journalism Centre in co-operation with the European Commission’s DG Environment. Please note that accommodation and travel and some meals will be covered by the European Commission.
