The European Journalism Centre and the European Commission's DG ECFIN invite you to an exclusive three-day seminar on "The Economic Priorities of the Hungarian Presidency" taking place in Brussels on the 6-8 December, 2010. Targeted to 15 invited journalists covering economic issues in the Hungarian media, this seminar focuses on the economic priorities of the upcoming Hungarian EU presidency, which begins Jan. 1, 2011.
Addressing how Europe’s economic challenges can be tackled by the Hungarian Presidency, the conference will give you an insight into the role of the Hungarian Presidency in shaping tighter European cooperation in economic policies in turbulent times.
The seminar addresses issues such as the challenges of the EU 2020 strategy, Hungary's financial integration towards the Euro area, lessons learned from new Euro countries, and the challenges of a multi-speed integration process.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss these issues firsthand with István Székely, Director of DG Economic and Financial Affairs; Judit Stádler, Counsellor of the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU; as well as a number of leading European business representatives, researchers and academics.
