Are SMEs reaping the benefits of being more eco-efficient? Can the eco-market be a profitable business opportunity for them? Are we on our way to the Third Industrial Revolution?

The European Journalism Centre, in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry, is organising this one-day briefing “SMEs for (Green) Growth” for journalists from EU-27 countries covering business, finance and/or the environment.

On 27 March, 32 selected journalists will come together to take a closer look at the Small Business Act and what benefits there are for SMEs to go green and how they can access finance during the crisis. Journalists will have the chance to meet with Commission Vice-President Antonio TAJANI to discuss the Eurobarometer results on SMEs, resource efficiency and eco-markets due to be released on that day. They will also meet with MEPs and external speakers from important financial institutions.

The organisers will cover travel expenses, accommodation and most meals.
