The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) aims to strengthen the partnership between the enlarged European Union and its neighbours. Creating awareness about the new neighbours and explaining the reasons for the ENP and its possible contribution towards meeting the needs of European citizens is crucial to a successful implementation of the policy. To that end the European Journalism Centre and the European Commission are organising a series of seminars focusing on the ENP.

This seminar will take place in Brussels and Nicosia and will look at EU relations with Egypt and Lebanon. It is an event for TV journalists only. A day trip to Lebanon is planned as part of the programme. The final selection of participants is made by the relevant Directorate
General of the European Commission.
