On 13-14 September 2012, the European Journalism Centre in co-operation with the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, will be organising a two-day media seminar titled “EU’s ICT Policy and Digital Agenda”. The event will be held at the International Press Centre in Brussels.

The seminar is especially tailored for 12 senior Japanese journalists who specialise in covering ICT and innovation issues from the main Japanese media outlets.

The seminar will discuss how the ICT landscape in Europe has changed over the past decades, what the current realities are and look at future challenges and trends. It will address the current economical and societal challenges that Europe is facing and what their impact is on the ICT sector. At the same time it will examine how ICT can support and drive Europe’s growth objectives and what remains to be done to ensure a sustainable digital economy for Europe.
