The 7th edition of the European Development Days (EDD) will take place in Brussels on October 16-17, 2012. Coinciding this year with World Food Day, the forum on international affairs and development cooperation will bring together leading figures to discuss and exchange ideas across a broad range of topics.

Leading EU political figures will be joined by African heads of state, as well as UN agencies and NGO representatives to discuss three sensitive subjects: food security, inclusive growth and the private sector.

In this framework, the European Journalism Centre and the European Commission's DG for Development & Cooperation are offering 15 selected journalists from the EU-27 member states the opportunity to attend the event in order to get a close-up view of the proceedings and obtain exclusive access to some of the developing world's top decision-makers and stakeholders. .
