Latvia's adoption of the Euro on 1 January 2014 is expected to be given final approval by the Economic and Financial Affairs Council on 9 July. The small Baltic state will become the 18th European Union country to use the currency.

This press briefing, tailored for Latvian press, will take place in Brussels on 8-10 July. Sessions will be organised on economic governance, banking union, two-pack. Participants will also be able to attend the press conference of the Eurogroup/ECOFIN; attend euro festivities in the Berlaymont as well as pay a visit to the Latvian permanent Representation.

Travel, accommodation and some of the meals will be covered by the organisers.
