Communicating Food Science in Vienna
09 October - 10 October 2013, Vienna (MAITRE)
The EU-funded project MAITRE, in cooperation with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) and the ISEKI-Food Association (IFA) in Vienna is organising a free of charge media training seminar for food and nutrition scientists.
The workshop will take place on October 10-11 at the premises of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna.
In a two-day hands-on training, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to increase the impact of their research through media, exercise interview techniques and TV statements, learn the do’s and don’ts, as well as they will get the inside knowledge of the print broadcast and online media.
The overall objective of the workshop is to transfer the knowledge and experience of journalists to researchers, in order for the scientific community to better communicate their findings and technical information to the general public.
Ultimately, the MAITRE project aims to contribute to the promotion of food research knowledge in Europe.
