Covering the Greek Presidency: Environmental Priorities
09 December - 10 December 2013, Brussels (DG ENV 2013)
The European Journalism Centre, in cooperation with the European Commission’s DG Environment, invites 15 Greek journalists to participate in the seminar "Covering the Greek EU Presidency: Environmental Priorities", taking place in Brussels on 9-10 December.
Europe’s economy and the state of the environment are interconnected. For quality of life to be maintained, the strength of the economy is essential.
Having that in mind, participants to this event will be briefed on what it means for Greece to hold the EU presidency. A special emphasis will be put on environmental matters and the relevant impacts they will have on jobs and growth creation.
The event is exclusively catered for specialist and expert Greek journalists in the field of environment.
The selected participants will have the opportunity to discuss EU environmental and climate change policies with senior EU officials, policy makers and experts from Brussels-based think tanks and international NGOs.
The organisers will cover flight, accommodation and most meals.
