In cooperation with the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the European Commission, the European Journalism Centre is organising a two-day seminar on 'Reform priorities for enlargement countries: freedom of expression and media - Best practice from Member States'. The seminar is organised for 15 editors and journalists from Western Balkans and Turkey, and will be held on 10-11 April, 2014 in Berlin.

The programme includes visits to the national media outlets and meetings with high-level representatives working in the journalism industry and independent bodies dealing with the topics. The seminar aims to showcase the best practice from Germany, and how these could be reflected in the candidate and potential candidate countries.

Flights, accommodation and meals during the programme will be covered by the organiser.
