The European Journalism Centre in co-operation with the European Commission?s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), is tailoring a media seminar for a specialised group of journalists from the EU28 member states.

The event will take place in Brussels on 20 January 2015.

Participants will get a unique opportunity to meet Mrs Violeta Bulc, the new EU Commissioner for Transport, as well as other high-level officials and external stakeholders. The event will take stock of the transport and mobility policies in the European Union and take a closer look at the new priorities for transport, infrastructure and investments including country specific information. The session with the Commissioner will be recorded, allowing for the attendance of TV journalists.

Additionally, a networking dinner with representatives of the European Parliament is being organised, including MEP Michael Cramer, chair of the EP Committee on Transport and Tourism and other Members of the Committee. The journalists will have the chance to discuss all pertinent questions concerning the transport policy with the MEPs (i.e. the German toll) in a more informative yet informal setting.

Participants will arrive in Brussels on 19 January and depart back to their home countries on 21 January. Flights, accommodation and most of the meals during the programme will be arranged and covered by the organisers.
