The seminars will address the current debate about the EU s relations with its neighbours, the question of how the EU can cooperate with countries that do not have at the moment the prospect of joining the EU and how the EU can use the partnership to foster its values and principles.Creating awareness about the new neighbours of an enlarged EU, and explaining the reasons for the ENP policy and its possible contribution towards meeting the needs of European citizens is crucial to a successful implementation of the policy. Therefore this seminar is intended to give journalists the tools and examples of first-hand experience, as well as background information on the on-going debate.
