INNOVEIT 2015 - The Innovation Forum of the European Institute of Technology and Innovation - EIT

05 May - 05 July 2015, Budapest (RfS054)

The European Journalism Centre (EJC), on behalf of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), invites journalists from the 28 EU Member States to attend INNOVEIT 2015 - EIT Innovation Forum in Budapest on 5-7 May.

Expected to be one of the pinnacles of the European innovation calendar in 2015, INNOVEIT 2015 will bring together 600 innovators from the European innovation community in order to:
- promote Europe?s new, most promising innovations;
- put a spotlight on Europe?s innovators and entrepreneurs through the celebration of the EIT Awards 2015;
- showcase achievements and results from the EIT community and share good practices;
- provide a platform for dialogue and networking for the European innovation community.

Aside from the main agenda of INNOVEIT 2015, the EJC will organise daily media activities for all journalists. These activities will be specifically tailored to facilitate interviews with the full spectrum of the event participants, namely nominees and winners of the EIT Awards, as well as representatives of leading authorities on innovation and entrepreneurship, including the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics; the EU Commissioner for Research Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas, and Professor Birgitte Andersen, CEO and Co-founder of the BIG Innovation Centre.

This invitation is exclusively for journalists working for EU-level media, as well as reporters for print, radio and online media outlets across the 28 EU Member States, who specialise in innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, trade, business or education.

On behalf of the EIT, the EJC will cover and arrange travel and accommodation.

Journalists interested in joining this event should apply before Friday 24 April by filling in the registration form following this link: https://ejcnet.wufoo.com/forms/innoveit-2015-media-registration, or by contacting Cristina Romero ([email protected]) or Bianca Lemmens ([email protected]).

The EIT is an independent body of the European Union set up in 2008 to spur innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe to overcome some of its greatest challenges. It brings together the so-called ?knowledge triangle? of business, education and research labs to form dynamic cross-border partnerships ? Knowledge and Innovation Communities, KICs - that develop innovative products and services, start new companies, and train a new generation of entrepreneurs.
