The European Journalism Centre (EJC), in cooperation with the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO), organises a press visit to Lebanon on 8-10 February for a group of 8 EU28 journalists.

Split between Beirut and other locations bordering with Syria, the programme will feature a wide range of EU-funded humanitarian aid projects showcasing issues, e.g. shelter, gender, food and or disability issues.

Additionally to reporting from the field, journalists will meet stakeholders working on the ground, EU officials and fellow colleagues. More details of the programme will be made available in the coming weeks.

Arrival in Beirut is planned on Tuesday 7 February and departure on Saturday 11 February (with the option of flying back in and out at an earlier or later date, respectively).
Journalists specialised in the middle East humanitarian crisis will be given priority.

The organisers will cover travel, accommodation, most meals and insurance.

Interested journalists should apply before Monday 9 January via the EJC seminars or contacting Paula Montañà at montana@ejc.net

* Please insert in your application a few lines on your motivation to join this trip and links to stories on the subject.
