The European Journalism Centre (EJC), in cooperation with the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO), organises a press visit to Turkey on 15-17 February for a group of 8 EU28 journalists.

Split between Istanbul and ?anl?urfa, the programme will feature EU-funded humanitarian aid projects, some of them being part of the Emergency Social Safety Net (ESSN), the largest ever single humanitarian aid project financed by the EU.

Additionally to the field visits, reporters joining this trip will have meetings stakeholders working on the ground, EU officials and national fellow colleagues. Further information on the programme will be available in the coming weeks.

Arrival in Turkey is planned on Tuesday 14 February and departure on Saturday 18 February (with the option of flying back in and out at an earlier or later date, respectively).

Journalists specialised in the middle East and humanitarian crisis will be given priority.

The organisers will cover travel, accommodation, most meals, visa costs and insurance.
