The European Journalism Centre is accepting applications for innovative development reporting projects focusing on the topic of gender equality.

Journalists and relevant media outlets that target audiences in one or more of the following European countries are eligible to apply: France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Journalists, media outlets and freelancers not based in the countries mentioned above are also eligible and encouraged to apply as long as they publish in at least one relevant media organisation from the five eligible countries.

The average grant awarded is 18.000-20.000EUR.

The deadline to pitch a story idea is 15 February 2017 (by 22:00CET). Applications have to be submitted only online at: http://journalismgrants.org/apply
