The European Journalism Centre will organise, in cooperation with the Directorate General External Relations of the European Commission, seven information briefings on the European Neighbourhood Policy for journalists coming from the EU 27 Member States.

Raising awareness about the relations with the new neighbours of an enlarged EU, explaining the question of how the EU can cooperate with countries that do not have at the moment the prospect of joining it and the reasons for the ENP policy and its possible contribution towards the promotion of economic prosperity, political co-operation is crucial to understand in order to better report on the European Union and Foreign Affairs.

The briefings are, therefore, aimed at giving journalists both information about the latest developments of the ENP policy from the experts of the European Institutions in Brussels and concrete tools and examples of first-hand experience about the on-going debate in the neighbouring countries.
